  • HOMED-BP Study (Hypertension Objective treatment based on Measurement by Electrical Devices of Blood Pressure); to determine an optimal target BP level, based on BP values self-measured at home (home BP) and to determine the optimal initial antihypertensive medication for the Japanese hypertensive population.
  • The Ohasama study; a long-term prospective cohort study using ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and home blood pressure measurement in a general population of rural Japanese community since 1987.
  • J-HOME study (Japan Home vs. Office Measurement Evaluation study); a nationwide survey on home blood pressure measurement among patient under antihypertensive medication.
  • The babies and their parents' longitudinal observation in Suzuki Memorial Hospital on intrauterine period study (BOSHI study).
  • Chronopharmacological assessment of antihypertensive drugs using home blood pressure measurement and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
  • Genetic determination of essential hypertension in Japanese.
  • Role of vasoactive polypeptides in various pathophysiological conditions.
  • Clinical study to assess and improve antihypertensive drug compliance using a new device equipped with electronic pillbox.
